The North Central Florida Blues Society is excited to announce a return on a more permanent basis. It’s now at Mother’s Pub North, in the former Sal’s Place location. It now runs from 6-10 pm, and is held on the first Sunday of every month, starting May 5.  Those that attended our jams at the Dirty Bar will recognize many familiar faces. And now it is at a location where you can get food, actual meals!

The host band in May will be Exotic Breed.

There is no smoking inside the venue. Signups start before the jam starts, and sets are 30 minutes long and start at 6 pm. Backline and PA are provided by the host band, so we ask that you be respectful when using their equipment. If you play guitar or bass you will need to bring your own instrument (amps are provided). There is no cover charge.

If this is your first time participating in a jam or if you need a few pointers on how a jam is different from an open mic, please check out our pointers on how to participate in a jam below.

Tips for Participating at a Jam

The host bands are chosen from members of the North Central Florida Blues Society that have expressed interest in hosting our jam.  If you are a member and your band would like to host, are unsure of your membership status, or would like to join so that your band can host one of our jams, please contact us at events@ncfblues.org
