We welcome all to the NCFBS Board meeting on Monday, September 25 at the Santa Fe College CEID at 530 W University Avenue at 7:00 p.m. Our Board meeting will primarily cover planning for the October 1 Membership Get-together and Benefit Concert. Our Board meetings are open to the public, especially members of the North Central Florida Blues Society. Want to be involved? We’d love to have your thoughts. We would love all of our members to participate in any way they can: invite friends, donate items for the silent auction, etc. If you would like to help, but are not sure how to best help out, attending the Board meeting might help. If you’d like to speak at the meeting, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can schedule a slot for you.
And we invite all of our members to the Membership Get-together and Benefit Concert on Sunday, October 1. It’s only $5 for admission, but we will be happy to take larger donations. It will be lots of fun with food, music, dancing, socializing, and a silent auction. Our 2017 Board of Directors seeks to expand services, including member promotions on radio and internet, Blues Workshops, Acoustic Blues Concerts as well as our current Monthly Electric and Acoustic Jams, Blues in Schools and Quarterly Concert Series.
If you’re not a member currently, feel free to join at the event! Single annual memberships are only $20 and they help us bring concerts to town and fund our projects, such as Blues in the Schools, Women in Blues, and other ways to preserve, promote, and support the Blues in North Central Florida.
