Ramblin’ Mutts perform soulful, original, rhythm & blues. In 2021 they released their first full-length album titled “Pity and Mercy” containing15 new tunes. The album features songs about love, loss, redemption, and the Blues. It is available on all music streaming platforms.
The band is comprised of Dan Stepp on lead vocals, keyboards and slide guitar. Dan is joined by Atlanta’s Christina Holder who adds her simmering vocals to the group’s sound. Playing lead guitar is the talented Paul Goble, and the rhythm section is made up of Richard Heipp on bass and the driving drumbeats of Rich Patrick. The band also features a rockin’ horn section.
An earlier incarnation of Ramblin’ Mutts, known as the R. Mutt Blues Band, were two-time winners of the North Central Florida Blues Society IBC competition and represented N.C. Florida at the IBC International Blues Challenge on Beal Street in Memphis TN.
The Mutts have had the pleasure of being selected to perform as the opening act for such blues greats as Selwyn Birchwood, Terry Hanck, John Nemeth, Brandon Santini, Mike Zito, Seth Walker, Willie Green. Mr. Sipp and and Little Jake Mitchell.
Their music pays a passionate and respectful tribute to the traditions of the soul and rhythm & blues genres.
