Friends & family are invited to the Celebration of Life for Pete Karnes at the High Dive in Gainesville from 1-3 pm. Any musicians that would like to jam some Blues in Pete’s memory would be welcome and encouraged. Food will be provided!
Pete Karnes played with many of the Legends, Big Walter Horton, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, Robert Lockwood, J.B. Hutto, Lightning Slim, and many others. He is on around 2/3 of the songs on John Lee Hooker’s live album, “The Cream”.
We were proud to have Pete in our Society, often volunteering to play fundraisers and also serving on the NCFBS Board of Directors. We will miss you, Pete!
