Big Show Announcements for 2024!

The Cash Box Kings will bring their Chicago Blues style back to Gainesville to play Heartwood Soundstage on Sunday, April 14.  As an additional treat, they will have with them Tokyo pianist Lee Kanehira, who won the inaugural 2018 International Chicago Blues piano competition, one of the best traditional Blues and jump piano players in the world right now. She is amazing! And opening that show will be Dr. Jules’ Cool Blues!

Can you help? NCFBS Memberships and Donations are Down

Hello friends,

A recent close look at our financial position shows that memberships and donations are down this year.  This concerns us, because we had hoped that the very high level of artists and bands, we have brought to Gainesville this year would have been met with financial support from our community. John Primer, Chris Cain, Mr. Sipp, Lurrie Bell, and Biscuit Miller are some of the finest Blues artists around – but they cost money to book. If support from our members and friends is not received, we will likely not be able to continue this stellar level of booking.  If we’ve ever been something you’ve valued, we would truly appreciate a membership renewal, a donation, or a new membership.  We have plans and goals for more great events in the near future, but we do need your help.

The NCFBS would like your help

Since 2005, The North Central Florida Blues Society has been bringing national and international touring Blues acts to Gainesville, Florida/Alachua County as part of our mission to promote the Blues and provide a network of association for area Blues lovers. Now, we need your help.

Our funding is much lower than it has been in the past and we need the help of the community to continue to provide all the great music that we do every year, once local health circumstances allow us to do so. If you like what we do, please join the NCFBS, or if you were once a member and your membership is no longer current, please consider renewing. You can also help us by donating at our website or at one of our events.

If you feel that the North Central Florida Blues Society has ever enriched your life, we could use your support now. We are strictly a volunteer organization and we keep our operational expenses as low as we can and still provide the great live music that we believe helps make North Central Florida a great place to live.
