Blues in the Schools, also known as BITS, is a Blues education program that brings history, music, and inspiration to North Central Florida area students. Keeping the Blues alive for another generation is an integral part of the North Central Florida’s Blues Society’s mission.
Members of the North Central Florida Blues Society will teach your students about the origin of the American blues and introduce various instruments used in playing this music. We are proud of our program that leads another generation to listening to, learning about, and performing this uniquely American music.

This program is funded in part by a grant from the City of Gainesville, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department.
